Southwestern Ignorance - A Love Affair

I am a native to this great Southwestern state. I am proud to call it home, but I was embarrassed when I received an email last weekend.

A friend of mine (from the East side of the U.S. of A.) has convinced her parents to come to the Grand Canyon and Sedona this summer because she knows of it's beauty first hand. So obviously she is going to ask the native Arizonan for some traveling suggestions and recommendations. Right?

So here's the deal. I've lived here for 43 years (barring that three month mistake I made in Texas), but I don't go anywhere! I've been to the Grand Canyon, but I didn't really pay attention to how I got there or even what rim I was on, and then I left! I've been to Sedona, but again, I wasn't paying attention and it was long, long ago.

I have no idea where people stay when they venture out and I sure don't know what they do.

I know, I know ... shame on me!

So if you all would be so kind as to leave your own suggestions and recommendations here so that Brandi and I can both benefit from your own experiences ... that would be super!

I think this summer I will try to enjoy more that this great state has to offer.

I love you Arizona ... I really, really do!

Ok, first of all, I'm glad to see you back to blogging again, we need you perspective and sense of humor.

Now for the needle thing (and your just now getting around to telling us this?) You know aside, from the dna question, if you let the people who love you know about stuff like this, well there's this whole thing called the power of prayer & fasting.

As far as knowing stuff I think it depends of several things and is totally personal. But I would want to know everything I could to help me to do what I and the doctors could do. And I personally would like to see you do all you can since I am partial to having you around as long as possible.

That said, call me about travel arrangements stuff. Northern AZ is one of my favorite places and my sister is a paramedic there so we know a few hints that might help. Call me!
