The Big Day -

I am a little bit excited. I don't ever remember being excited to vote, but I believe I am actually going to lose sleep tonight. My plan is to wake up and get down to the polls at 6:00 a.m. to cast my vote in what I think is an extremely exciting year in politics ... and I like how this makes me feel.

Tonight we had a high-spirited conversation with some of my family members regarding this topic. As we sat around eating pizza, going over propositions and sharing opinions, it really made me feel American! I'm not sure which nationality I felt like before, but now I'm totally American.

We didn't all agree on the aforementioned topics and we have quite the diverse little group of family members, but we talked. There was no shouting, no name calling, no slapping ... just talking. Something in that conversation screamed to me that we had grown up. We were no longer youngsters trying to get our way, we are adults trying to pave a way that we believe in. I liked it, and I am ready to cast my vote.

I don't think the polls are going to lean my way. A landslide is in the forecast. But I will do my part to try to tip the scales and then pray for the future of our country.

There is a rumor that these will be record breaking voter numbers. In an effort to handle the lines in an orderly fashion, all Obama voters have been asked to vote on Wednesday. Thank you for your cooperation.
