They're baaaack -

I spent the evening mopping up after the monsoon. My sister's house is apparently at THE lowest point in all the land and a river ran through it! A dozen adults stood in formation as they tried to build a dam out of household furniture and every blanket that was once used for cozy comfort, while hoisting buckets of water away from the front door. The garage was filled with a muddy mess, which eventually seeped through the interior walls as it had nowhere else to go. The fire department arrived and wished us luck ... and then went on their merry way for a soothing drive in the countryside rain. The sandbags finally arrived and the house was surrounded by some kind of hope. We got home at 1:30 a.m., shed our dripping wet clothes ... and started mopping up the mess that had come through our roof. The monsoons are back ... and they've only just begun!

Wow...which sister? J or A?
Bummer! Hope you get dried out soon. We are happily rain free at the moment.

OK who the heck is Yours Truly? And I was too busy mopping ... plus I forgot my camera.

Becky it was J ... if it had been A, that would have been awful since she lives with me!

Oh My Gosh Karen! I'm afraid to ask what's next? We're you able to save the house? Are they all ok? You seem to take everything in stride...either your amazingly together or a little crazy! (I'd be crying, not blogging:) Those were some pretty crazy storms that night! Let me know what I can do for your sis.

Man what a great sister you are! Does this happen to them every storm?? If so they are in for a long season. I feel like I cant breath in all this humidity!!! Just got back from running a few errands and I look like I just jumped in the pool! I love the storms...but not the muggy feel it brings with it.
