Hotels -

You may not know this about me, but I'm a hotel freak. I LOVE staying in a nice hotel. I don't care where it is, I don't even have to leave the city ... I just LOVE staying in a nice hotel room with a fantastic bed. My favorite is a Marriott and my favorite Marriott was this one in Oahu ... that's right, I've been to a far away land and it was incredible.

But I seriously don't have to go very far to be happy, in fact, sometimes I don't even leave my home. I am the best at taking virtual vacations! I sit at my computer and I look up nice hotels and I even check for vacancies ... somehow it satisfies my need to flee.

But tonight, I'd really like to be here.

And I don't even know where here is! I just look at this picture and it invites me to crawl into the 618 thread count divinity and order a chick flick while my bath is being drawn. Every once in awhile, the need hits me like a serious hot flash and every once in awhile I actually get to go to these magnificent sheets. More often than not though, like tonight, I visit these places online, I remember the pure relaxation that they have offered me in the past and I look forward to the next time. Aaaaaahhhhh.

I remember this about you!! I always thought it was such a fun little Karen factoid!

Speaking of nice sheets, Kevin gave me 1000 thread count sheets for Valentine's day, but they couldn't match any worse with our bedroom decor.....gotta love the thought and they sure feel good when your eyes are closed!

I hve to agree totally!!! we didn't go far and actually stayed at the Marriot downtown Mesa!! just wanted to get away for the night, and thats when the kids were younger, but they had the best bed ever and down pillow and so on wouldn't mind going back, but i think Boyd would like to venture a little further away.. doesn't matter though were we go we still take the bed spread off!!!!!!!! hit Gary up for Mother's Day!!

Oh, yeah! I love hotels, too... but I have to tell you, living in a vacation town is great... we live where other people pay to visit... we look out at the snow and curl up by the fire... or change seasons, we sit on the deck and feel air that is 40 degrees cooler than the Valley! Life really is good here... if you don't think about WHO is not here to enjoy it with you!

But Housekeeping doesn't come through every day. It doesn't count.
